🎉 1st Anniversary Celebration
Inclusion Hub Werne – Accessible Participation
On Friday, May 29, 2026, we celebrated the first anniversary of our self-help group, "Inklusionstreff Werne – Barrierefreie Teilhabe" (Inclusion Meetup Werne – Barrier-Free Participation).
Around 30 guests accepted our invitation and spent an evening together filled with new encounters, conversation, and a true sense of community. Among the guests were representatives from the political sphere, the self-help sector, local associations, and social institutions, as well as engaged citizens from Werne and the surrounding region.
In an open and warm atmosphere, we took a look back at the past year. It became evident just how many people have accompanied, supported, and helped shape the *Inklusionstreff* over the past months.
Despite a sudden storm that gathered overhead—forcing the event to end earlier than planned—the anniversary celebration remained a resounding success for many guests, filled with lively exchange, new connections, and valuable conversations.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the volunteers, supporters, and guests who celebrated this special day with us.
At the same time, we were able to offer a preview of our upcoming projects. As early as June 6, 2026, the association "Rollstuhlgerecht in Stadt Werne e.V." (Wheelchair-Accessible in the City of Werne) will be present with a sales and information booth at the Family Flea Market in Werne. Furthermore, the association's official opening ceremony is scheduled for August. Among other highlights, this event will feature the unveiling of our new project, "©InklusionWC."

The opening speech pays tribute to the many individuals who have accompanied, supported, and helped shape the Inklusionstreff throughout its first year. At the same time, it looks forward to new projects, events, and goals slated for implementation in the coming months.
